Incoming Washburn University Students Receive Wiseman Scholarship
Forty-one incoming Washburn University students received the Wiseman Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year. The Wiseman Scholarship is a $500 renewable scholarship awarded to select high school seniors who graduated from Topeka High School, Topeka West High School, or Highland Park High School.

Washburn University Students Earn Presidential Scholarship
Sixteen incoming Washburn University students were awarded the Presidential Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year. The Presidential Scholarship is a $1,000 renewable scholarship awarded to select students from each Shawnee County high school with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Students must be nominated by their high school guidance counselor.

Washburn Students Receive Freshman Academic Scholarship
More than 300 incoming Washburn University students received a freshman academic scholarship. These renewable scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 21 or higher. Scholarship award amounts range from $500 to $5,000 based on academic performance.

Washburn Students Awarded Garvey Scholarship
Incoming Washburn University students have been awarded the Garvey Scholarship for the fall 2019 semester. The Garvey Scholarship is a renewable scholarship worth up to $2000, awarded to students with the highest scores on the Garvey Competitive Exam. The exam is offered several times a year at Washburn University. High school seniors with a GPA of 3.25 or higher, who have previously applied for admittance to Washburn, qualify to take the exam.
